I think some of the characters suffer because Oda made the story longer than intended (at this point gong off by his statement at LEAST doubly so long of the current length), yeah
With Sanji, I think it is less noticeable because he built that up ever since WCi (which is at this point is over 10 years old)

Other characters suffer alot because of this, with characters like Usopp, it's like a pause button, and with characters like zoro where he imo finished his character arc in TB it feels lost
Tbh it makes sense Oda never intended One piece to last more than 5 years . I think he probably wanted to wrap this in Grandline but it just got popular he added new themes.

Was thinking of Sanji’s Conqueror’s epithet and realized just how similar Zoro & Rayleigh’s were and then realized that Gaban doesn’t have a King epithet but rather a love based one so reckon Sanji’s will prolly also follow the same pattern, even more given all of her focus on Love in this fight .

明王 (King of the underworld - Hades) - Rayleigh
閻王 (King of the underworld - Yama) - Zoro

愛の伝道師 (Messenger of Love) - Gaban
愛の使徒 (Apostle of Love) - Sanji
愛の執行者 (Enforcer of Love) - Sanji

What do y’all think?

I was also wondering if Sanji was going to get a nickname more like Gabans rather than a King of _____ Title. If so I think I’d rather it be a “Devourer” title cause it does connect back to food and Sanji being a chef. As such what if because when he defeats Killingham the sky opens up the Giants call him 天喰らい or “Heaven Eater”

Gaban's epithet is "Mountain Eater". aside from Ripley based jokes, it has nothing to do with "King". It is tied to a notorious feat he accomplished and was known for.

I read somewhere a little while ago how 山食らい having "yama" as mountain it can also be seen as "yama" from the Sanskrit यम ("yama") https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/यम#Sanskrit. Yes it is a bit of a stretch but this way also Gyaban has hidden in his nickname being the King of something, in this case also King of the underworld. What do you think?

I really like that, but still I find it unnecessary for Sanji to have a "king title". In Zoro's fight against King, even if it was edgy and corny, calling himself like that had a meaning in that battle. As an author you can always do the same with Sanji and let him calling himself in some way for a meaning of course, but even that I find it unnecessary.

Heaven Eater is an interesting take and the current setting fits the image you're painting with Zaza's rain as the skies are likely to clear up once Kiringham gets defeated and Zaza vanishes.

Can see that as an epithet for Sanji but not quite sure it fits as his Conqueror's epithet. It feels more like something folks would call him like Kuroashi, kaizoku-gari etc. and even Gaban's mountain eater he got as a result of his actions (i.e. quite literally ate up a whole mountain to save Roger) but Gaban doesn't really refer to himself as that but rather "Ai no Dendoshi (Messenger of Love)". In that sense, "Ai no Dendoshi" as opposed to "Mountain Eater" fits Zoro's En-ou (King of Hell) or even Luffy's Kaizoku-ou (Pirate King) more as it's "self" declared.

Which is why I think it'd be Love related :DeepThink:
Interestingly enough Sanji refers to himself as "Man of Love" in his flashback with Iva but not really keen of King of Love tbh lol

I personally think the King thing will at the very least come later when Sanji gets his next Jambe which will be “Demon King Leg”

I nominate "Heaven walker" for Sanji going to become the best sky-walk user and people will see him dominating any aerial combat in the future.
or should i call him Sanji sky walker :DeepThink:

I hope Sanji AdvCoC lightning will set anything it touch on fire creating a firewall like maki fire did instead of cutting thing like Gaban did.

Prince of love is the way :Ouki_Bow:
I actually legit think you might have seen the vision with the name of this thread lol
Legit think 愛の覇者 "Conqueror of Love" is on the cards :risisweat:

For the most part I think it'd be a name tied to PoL and the fact that Sanji is able to wield it.
If Gaban is a messenger of Love then Sanji is someone who is able to wield it.
