Besides Rayleigh and Ivankov Luffy still had the rusukaina animals and Sanji the 99 newkama karate masters. Zoro didn’t have anyone capable of pushing him besides Mihawk

Tbf we’ve seen Luffy train with hyogoro against beast pirate fodder but he only unlocked what he was looking for in an extreme situation. Then working his way backwards to better master it

With that all being said it’s likely that Zoro and Mihawk spared a shit ton during the training because like Zoro said there was no one else besides Mihawk. Mihawk obviously pushing him to his limits to grow stronger but we don’t know how far Zoro was able to push him

We don't even know how strong they have become. If it took Wano to finally see Zoro pushed to his limit maybe those Monkies can now fight Kaido too right?

I'm guessing the argument you're trying to make here is that Zoro during or right after the timeskip was able to give Mihawk a good fight? But then what's the point of Zoro having to get all these powerups before he's even worthy of fighting him again?
