It’s funny that you think that pointing out the obvious is being butthurt. Sanji the creepy cook always has been and always will be lesser than Zoro, so there’s literally nothing to be butthurt about.

Repeated unearned power creeps isn’t anything to be proud of, it just shows how shitty his character development and writing has been. I mean I get it, Oda obviously favors Luffy and Zoro and treats Sanji as an afterthought. That has to be so frustrating for you creepy cook followers, I mean not only was he not good enough to be on the rooftop but you never get to see any earned development with him. All you ever get are creepy perverted simping & him turning his back on Luffy and the crew.

For what it’s worth I wish he was a better character, and had literally anything to justify him being in Zoro’s league but obviously he’s not important enough for Oda to spend the time to do that. He just says they’re equal off panel, without ever showing or justifying it within the manga. Which is why he is the worst written character on the crew.

Deflect and insult all you want, it won’t change the reality of Sanji being a poorly written Gary Stu. Even Rey Skywalker has more character development & power creep justification than Sanji.

Sanji and zoro are only equal in combat strength when Sanji as a default restrains himself by not using his hands in fights. So in reality Sanji>zoro even in combat strength. Agreed with rest of the points which further proves that zoro doesn't bring anything to the crew. He is basically a freeload, a beggar among the crew. Take him out and Luffy still becomes pirate king easily. He is not relevant to the story at all lmao

Zoro is Luffy's ultimate hencheman. I think that's really his only role in the crew. The leadership and guidance role is pretty well distributed especially with the addition of Jinbei. The recent months though have pretty much been constant preaching of how critical both wings are to Luffy. Luffy will continue facing off against strong organisations and only Sanji and Zoro can really help him win. Without them most no 2/3 in enemy factions can just slaughter the rest of the strawhats. In that sense they are equally important
