A story is only as good as it’s ending.
Tbf, I think there ME3 was by and large a really good final instalment, that resolved most character stories and paid off most long running plot threads quite well. I remember playing it and enjoying pretty much every second of it, from Mordin fixing what he did to the krogan (while singing Gilbert and Sullivan. RIP my GOAT), to Thane being an absolute badass even when terminally ill (thing I like about that scene is if Thane is dead at that point, if you saved Captain Kirahe back in ME1 rhen HE will step in and sacrfiice himself to save the Salarian ambassador. Just a nice touch, a little more ilpact to your decisions), to.....kind of EVERYTHING with Legion and the geth. All the things you did over the course of 2 prior games all coming back around in a satisfying way.
The Illusory Man getting controlled by the indoctrination no matter what you do was a tad disappointing, but its in character for him to think he was the smartest guy in the room and could avoid getting hoed like Saren did. 😅
The absolute ending did in fact make me punch a wall when I was younger, BUT overall the game itself was just so well handled up to that point that I cant hate it. And I usually DO when it comes to bad endings.
.....also, the fact that they added in a more in character Shepard "big motivational and/or defiant speech" (because of audience irritation mostly) which just kinda cuts to everyone dead and some new species finding that message we left like the Protheans in ME1 did actually make me laugh.
