Narrative-wise I think it’d be dope if Sanji’s CoC awakening happens in consequence to him trying to protect Elbaf or something during this fight. He’s no stranger to putting his body on the line for people but would be dope if he’s awakens it tryna put his body on the line not with the mindset of I’m finna die here but rather to protect without throwing his life away.

Given the fight is leaning in a direction where Kiringham won’t be able to touch Sanji & will keep getting torn apart I can see him getting frustrated & attacking indiscriminately (maybe even picking one of the kids to dispose of) in order to force Sanji to take it

Kiringham’s pretty competent so I’m almost certain he will use this card if necessary.

Also, I wonder if the issue with Sanji is just changing his mindset to back himself more. Coz when I think back on Egghead be it when he no sold S-Shark’s punch with his hands in his pockets or when he destroyed Kiz’s laser to protect Bonney, he himself believed that he could do it. So maybe that will end up being the key with regards to him tapping into PoL and ultimately CoC

Its weird i thought about that myself but i dont know how to feel

At one hand the sanji elbaf chapters confirmed, and the lack of totally visual indicators always indicated, that in those feats no haki was involved, or atleast no CoC, like i always believed so it confirms my thinking

At the other Hand where is oda going with this no giving sanji coc coating which if properly applied can used as defense + even eventually future sight, given there was such an emphasis on in it egghead

I don’t think the fact that they were no visual indicators proves that it isn’t Haki related just coz when Zoro manifested it the first time against Kaido, there were none. That said I’m leaning more in the direction of it not being Haki per se. As there is a strong indication that it’s a unique ability of the Buccaneers which would explain why Kiz couldn’t wrap his head around Sanji decimating his laser.

For a while now I’ve been thinking that it’d end up being more of a medium for pushing Sanji’s Haki to greater heights where he’d have probably not been able to reach other wise.

Let’s say Sanji puts up regular CoC barrier, he might be able to tank an El Thor but PoL allows him to be able to tank something like an Amaru or maybe a Raigo for instance.

Been saying it for a while now folks that are simply content with CoC and are completely ignoring PoL are missing the forest for the trees and personally I’m glad Oda isn’t.

Sanji simply having CoC coating is lovely and all but how does that separate him from the likes of a Yamato for instance?

With Luffy he’s the MC, he is also Nika and has Shanks as his floor Haki wise & we know how ridiculous those two are.

With Zoro, Oda’s emphasizing the sheer volume he has which I think is prolly connected to Enma somehow in that Oda’s using Enma as a tool to really have is Haki grow & prove to be something else. (of course Zoro’s sheer force of spirit is something that’s been emphasized for a while now so prolly isn’t just Enma)

In that sense I think PoL will be Sanji’s X factor.

Tranlation doesnt work...
Gist of it is that Sanji’s passion might be how he manifests CoC & that passion will be channeled through his anger.

For me the most interesting bit I think was the similarities btw Sanji & Franky as well as the similarity btw how ODC works in order to create super cola & how Sanji conjures up diable jambe.

gather heat from rotation -> transform into lightning-> creates super cola (in Sanji’s case: creates CoC)

Felt a bit to convuluted tbh but an interesting theory nonetheless.
I never made a correlation between the thing on Emeth back and the ODC. They probably really are the same things, interesting.

In the video the guy connect Franky with Vinsmokes as "cyborgs" even tho I don't feel it's the same. I'm more seeing the Vinsmokes as mutants, they are superhumans since birth. Franky modified his body later in his life. Other than science theme I don't see them equally as "cyborgs" (Queen didn't help when called Sanji and his brothers "cyborgs"). Even when Yonji showed that his body is probably modified a bit like Franky, the others never showed something like this. For me they are technically "mutants" still.

I see that this guy talk about the power of love and the power of anger that are the fuel for Sanji fire powers, nothing new. Interesting how he talks about the rotation of ocd and Diable jambe being connected. Even tho it's a little bit stretched because in Elbaph the OCD absorbed the flames from the library to conjure "power" to insert into cola. I see the rotation of the device only for it to travel the distance in order to get the flames. I can also be wrong and the rotation is needed to conjure the flames into power. Nevertheless, I don't feel there is that much of a connection. In the last years Sanji did not even rotate anymore for Diable Jambe if I remember correctly.

Interesting in the end how he connects the sound of Sanji's lighter to a switch in Sanji mindset, it could be intentional by Oda but if it's not it's still a funny coincidence.

By the way watching the video made me think something I never thought. We saw how Lilith created power from flames, we saw "mother flame" as an energy source. Will Sanji's flames be used as fuel in the future? Could Sanji be an alternative to mother flame itself?
