And honestly it’s old news at this point but AdCoC was just a complete mistake in every way. CoA should have had its own identity, CoC should have never become CoA 2.0, that decision was awful.

If Oda were a good writer, and had editors that didn’t deserve to be blacklisted from the industry, CoA would function the same way it is used this chapter. CoA provides the brute strength/attack/defense enhancement, while CoC has its own identity altogether.

I actually think AdCoC should have functioned similar to Asura, it should have been like a form powerup rather than becoming CoA 2 with alternate lightning. In an ideal world that would have happened, but we’re stuck in the reality where One Piece is grossly nerfed by its own writer.

It’s crazy because this just seems so easy to fix from an editing standpoint, truly I can’t describe how dumb Oda’s editors are using human language.

Asura should have been Zolo’s AdCoC, KoH should have been an armament Haki buff, not a CoC ability.

Nika should have been Luffy’s CoC, not his Devil fruit. This would allow Oda to give Luffy a dumb super saiyan form, but wouldn’t lead to him completely character assassinating the world government by introducing the plot plot fruit that the WG should have exterminated before the series even began.

Sanji’s CoC should have been similar to Asura or Nika in concept, a form powerup and not CoA 2. How on earth Oda’s editors didn’t suggest these simple fixes that would have made so much more sense than what Oda actually wrote is just beyond me, are they seriously that blinded by Oda’s genius? Do they really not realize that One Piece was only ever good because of Oda’s previous editors anyway lol? I seriously will never forgive these twats for not keeping Lolda in check. One Piece had THAT potential in another life but instead we’re stuck with utter mediocrity

Dunno what characters this is about but even then, why would it be inconsistent? Some characters are introduced as meatheads from the get go. Like Vergo, whose only purpose is to hit like a truck. But that's not the character built up Zoro had pre TS. Zoro's character was more complex, only to be flushed down the toilet.
