Early Wano was fun, but Zoro's writing has been mid for a while, and I used to really like him (always preferred Sanji, mind you).

This is just par for the course. Sanji fans are used to him being written well, but this is great.

From what I'm assuming, the eye-brows switch was an hint towards his Germa transformation, to the form he should have obtained since birth (the cold-hearted Stealth Black and all).
Now he has total control of it, so he mantains the beneficts of the Germa awakening while the eye-brows remains the same as the old good Sanji.
It's more a shonen visual thing to represent his new resolve, from now on he's completed.

I can't say I'm super shocked, but it's genuinely weird that the Strawhats aren't going to take some type of L this arc. You'd think the Strawhats would take some type of loss right before the final war, so it'll be more meaningful when they actually win/become the PK crew? Oda is also going to have to at least do something to make it feel like the BBP are keeping up, and capturing Garp probably isn't a bigger deal than driving Imcel off Elbaf

At this point, literal top 1 in verse king of the world Imcel would be lucky if he felt as invincible as preteen, chunin exams Gaara did
