So in Medival II Third Age (Lotr mod), every couple dozen turns Sauron sets an invasion point on the map and all the evil factions consisting of Misty Mountain Orcs, Gundabad Orcs, Isengard, Rhun, Harad and Mordor dedicate a full stack or two to taking down the city Sauron wants to claim
I’m playing Gondor now, spent every resource available to take down the black gate, the very next turn this fucker Sauron calls an invasion on it

Hmm, it has been a while. 
Anyway, CA has finally made a new style of DLC that has been requested for a long arse time; Character Packs.
Rather than being a big arse DLC, these will be much smaller and cheaper DLCs with a single Legendary Lord and a handful of new units. The price tag last I saw for these was to be €5/$5/£4, which if I recall correctly is a bit cheaper than purchasing a single LL from a large DLC (e.g. Tamurkhan from Thrones of Decay.).
Anyway, the first character pack is for Cathay and has a completely original character in Bhashiva the White Tigress. Yes, we are getting a dedicated Tigermen DLC for Cathay; Ind has probably been permanently shelved but hey, at least they saved the tigers.
The new DLC will consist of:
• 1 Legendary Lord.
• 1 Lord.
• 1 Hero.
• 3 new units.
• 1 new Cathay faction with its own faction mechanics.
There will also be an FLC Legendary Hero to complement it.
What little lore there was for Tigermen previously has been changed. Previously they were a Beastmen offshoot, now they are an order aligned race created by the Old Ones. They hate all of Chaos, have some particular grudge with Tzeentch for some reason and they also greatly dislike Ogres but can barely tolerate them if needs be.

The units are going to give Cathay a lot more damage dealing infantry in their unit roster. Also the new Hero gives Cathay access to a couple of other Lores of Magic.
Also, Cathay in general is getting some minor tweaks.

I mean, Lords of the End Times came out but eh, I was distracted with stuff. Lol.
Nagash looks cool, Empire got buffed with strong units, Skaven got Uber buffed and Nurgle still exists I guess.
I don't actually care that much about 40k as a franchise so I can't be arsed about news regarding it.
Shogun II got remastered out of nowhere and looks shit for it.
No other company swings from "We're so back!" to "It's so over..." as CA does. Lol.
Well they've outlasted BioWare so that's... Something I suppose. Lel.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised if Lords of the End Times is the final DLC.
I especially doubt we are getting anymore new factions. CA did things like give the Dread Maw (a Khuresh associated monster) to Norsca and rewrote the Tiger-men (Ind residents) to be Cathayan Units. They're certainly not going to do Ind now since that standalone Tiger-man DLC apparently didn't do that well anyway.
There's also the fact that Ind, Araby, Khuresh and Nippon never had GW Army Books made for them, so CA would need to create these factions from scratch all while negotiating with GW's infamously ironfisted treatment of the Warhammer IP.
The only faction that had an Army Book but still isn't in Total War is the Dogs of War, a faction of mostly human mercenary armies. So if we do get another faction, it's probably going to be those guys.
Anyway, TW 40k will be CA's focus from now on. Warhammer fantasy will probably get the Three Kingdoms treatment soon. Lol.
Best case scenario, CA does an occasional Lord Pack DLC once in a blue moon for Warhammer fantasy in order to raise extra funds for 40k.
