Spoiler One Piece Chapter Spoiler 1198 Spoilers Discussion

First part of my theory (Imu's forms) DONE ✅
Imu blowing up someone like Usopp or Gaban (but Luffy likely bringing them back to life) PENDING ☑️

*Usopp is more likely than Gaban as they have more of a Krillin/Goku bound. Usopp was not at the scene first so I picked Gaban but it's likely Usopps role here. Standing up to Imu to save Luffy, dying in the process. Also, do remember the Usopp/Lucci scene in Enies Lobby. That time Luffy managed to save him. This time he won't be able to (until later with his powers somehow).

"Luffy and Loki are no joke but most expected a bit more from Imu especially based on what he did at God Valley and beforehand on Elbaph. One can just hope Imu has a Frieza like ability to change forms and that this is only a "weak" form."

"Now lets see if Imu can do his best Frieza impression, blowing up Gaban (Krillin) thus triggering a power up (Gokus first SSJ formation). Although this is OP so it will most likely not happen. But to really drive home the point of "stop fooling around" that would be the perfect scene and trigger for Luffy becoming Golden Warrior."

"It's well known that Oda used to be a huge DBZ fan. All the big baddies (Frieza, Cell, Buu) could transform. And for all of them the last form, and the deadliest form, is the tiniest.
I would expect Imu to have at least one more monster form similar to Cell 2 or Frieza 3 before reaching his perfect form."

"We actually do need one of these moments in OP. The closest we have is WB losing Ace going berserk. DBZ saw Frieza blow up Krillin in front of Goku triggering SSJ. Naruto I can't remember clearly. Kakashi and Gaara were already dead by the time Naruto reached them.

Oda could easily kill Usopp, triggering Gear 6 and with Luffys new God powers he could likely resurrect Usopp somehow. But not before kicking Imus ass."

Again, I do not give a shit what "everyone" says. Putting aside that you're just revising history and six months to a year ago that definitely was not the standard take, I'm specifically taking the W over the people I argued with on this. Not some arbitrary "everyone".

Loki is not "immensely" stronger than Emperor Luffy either, Luffy wipes his ass with Loki's face currently, and even before the powerup it was not as one-sided as you deluded yourself to think, Luffy's feats were actually very impressive.

Don't think you're exempt from this btw, you too were saying Loki was a god tier and >>> PK level, Yonko etc, keep that same energy for Luffy now that he's stronger(you won't).
What are you even saying lol?

Imu's first form dogwalked mere Emperor Luffy; Loki forced Imu to use a third form and Imu even admitted he was at his limit.
If there was still some galaxy-level idiot who didn't concede to Loki being PK >>, now it's over.

About the 'standard' take, idk where you looked.
When the take was Loki being the villain, we all said it would be Luffy vs Loki, with Luffy obviously winning via a power-up.
When Imu showed up, we said the exact same thing.

We have ever had one thing straight: Loki was a PK+++ and far stronger than mere Emperor Luffy, not to mention Kaido of the Hundred Ls and Big Meme. Now that's settled.
But Luffy getting another power-up on top of what put him way above Kaido and BM will put him at that level too, finally, as you too recognized.

Yamato is incredibly strong... For comparison, Law got one-shotted by Kaido using the exact same attack he used against Yamato.

Kaido wanted Yamato to become the Shogun and protect Wano from external enemies in his absence.
When Green Bull, an external enemy, showed up and was attacked by base Yamato, the very first thing he did was acknowledge how incredibly strong her Haki was.

Kaido's power scaling doesn't seem THAT off.

  • In Kaido's eyes, Yamato was strong enough to become Shogun and protect Wano in his absence.
  • In Green Bull's eyes, even base Yamato's Haki was incredibly strong.
