Luffy's appearance reminds me of this
Looks exactly like the first Nika. Maybe it's how the Elbaf god was forced to fight him when he went on rampage
And Joyboy actually had a tamed transformation. Could also explain why the user of the nika fruit is both known to either coming for destruction or to save the world

Perhaps Loki, Zoro, and Sanji will intervene after the battle ends.
Maybe it has to do with the technology present in Elbaf.
Or perhaps he might be able to control his own mind.

Some even suggested that the Straw Hat might contain Joy Boy’s Conqueror’s Haki (CoC) to prevent Luffy from going berserk—which actually makes sense, given that it has always been with Luffy (though, based on the images I’ve seen, it isn’t with him right now).
