Yeah. He should be in jail.

The way he tackled clearly shows he meant some harm
I doubt he would go in jail. It would be hard to prove his intent to injure him

But his career is over, atleast in Spain or big leagues. It would be very difficult for him to recover from this experience. Fans won't let him have peace as well

It is legally tricky.

Because as a player when you step on the pitch, you already legally accepted the risks of injury.

But as a Gk, he way out of box. The way he tackled shows he was committed to foul him and not going for the ball at all.

So you could push him to jail.

There's case of medical negligence as well.
The Medical team took their time carrying him on stretcher and only give him CPR when he's on ambulance.

Very different approach compared to how Eriksen or Aguero case was handled.

Naturally, lower league divisions are under-invested

I don't think he would go in jail but I do agree with what you said.

It was intentional. It was aggressive. Every keeper knows that knees at such height can seriously injure a player even if knees hit the ball first because of momentum of the striker and his own knee. They are professional because they are trained not to do so.

Running at such pace to clear the ball and with knees at such height means goalkeeper focus was on clearing the ball by any means even if injury happens to the player. It was nasty, intentional and very aggressive foul.

He definitely should get a long suspension... atleast

One more thing

After colliding with De Miguel, Owono did not turn back to look at the striker on the ground but immediately began walking towards the touchline, anticipating the red card. He knew what he did.

It was clear use of excessive force and being reckless.

He's getting roasted online. Murderer, assassin, racists slurs are being thrown at him online.

This would be the case in stadium as well whenever he will play again which I am certain won't be soon.

Authorities are investigating for manslaughter case. If evidences indicated that it was deliberate or due to gross negligence then Owono can face jail upto 4 years.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to stir people's emotions and make a comeback.
However, given that he has requested a friendly match between Al-Nassr and Madrid, I think we are witnessing the final year of Ronaldo's football career.
