IMO, it's a "failed" awakening.
When Kaido killed Luffy, the DF took over only to revive him. That surge of energy have Luffy access to awakening as G5.
Now, the fruit is again intervening, only this time is rewriting Luffy's will and taking control of both his body and of the awakening, turning it into this nega-G5.

In the french one is kinda similar, Imu says hes reaching his limit and he never thought he would have to expend this much power. And that he needs to go back to MJ or his life will be in danger.

It really does seem like using too much of his power endangers his life.

I see outside Imu to be like the fusions in DBZ. Time limit, and the more strenght he uses the shorter the timelimit get. Like Gotenks fusion last 30 minutes in base but only 5~ in SSJ3. Drawbacks are different ofc

Ayup thats exactly what I said, he probably wont be able to last long in this form. And if Luffy pushes him more and hes forced to use more he might just be forced to leave.

i still dont think these are the same forms. i think the oneholding the sun is still yet to be seen. it's more monsterous...imu forms have all been pretty human looking, elegant almost. i think this last form is his most truest one and it will look like a monster

I think for once Oda found a believable way to give good guys a W while still keeping Imu portrayal intact. Loki looks extremely strong for pushing Imu to that while at the same time I'm curious to see what an Imu that can use his power at will without limit would look. Shanks words about Imu power fully make sense

More reason for underwhelming design for Loki hybrid
He looks unoriginal as hell!!
His face look like xdrake and his arms too with those tattoo.
Also look like King from the back and his arms and body

Hybrid Kaido in the sense also has the same generic hybrid design of zoan by Oda.
But at least he don't have any strong resemblance or similar facial and body features we already saw in other characters.
I truly hope there's 2nd form,
We still have hope for awakening tbh

Elbaf is an extremely small nation that loses its shit over 10 kids. The only village we've seen is like what, 30–40 small (relatively speaking, for giants) houses? Alabasta, on the other hand, is a HUGE nation, and its army alone numbers over a million. Elbaf is treated as big because everything inside it is big: the houses, the trees, the people, not the island itself. There's no way in a million years I'm going to believe that Road is living in an island-country-sized castle. Giants aren't that much bigger. Also, I get it, Oda is inconsistent, but he has consistently NEVER drawn Elbaf as being hundreds of kilometers across. Not even close.

the Village was literally just on 1 single branch of the tree like actually not even 1/50 of the tree size... the castle itself is at least 10x the size of Loki so 600m... just 1 single catsle on a extremely smal branch. under that castle we have a Village with at least 10-15 houses each 100m at least. then you have the port which is as big as the Village and the Ship thats half the size of the port. this smal area of just 1 branch is already at least 30km. like idk where you get the idea from that its smal. when 1 branch outscales Onigashima...

that branch is not even the size of the Giant elbaf mountains that are in the underworld, you EXTREMELY underrate the size of elbaf.
