Powers & Abilities Can Blackbeard nullify or take Imu's fruit?

#1
I see quite a few members saying that it's taken for granted that Teach can nullify and take Imu's abilities. Given Imu's unique being and power (Maki, literal Devil / Akuma no Mi, most powerful haki in the world) do you think it will be that easy?

Does it mean that Blackbeard with Yami2 can beat Imu straightforwardly? Or it just means that Blackbeard can take Imu's fruit once he's defeated, crippled or dead?

Xebec was searching for a Devil Fruit and he had a plan to take down Imu.

Eris knew about his plan. We can pretty much infer this from her words when she sees Xebec turned into a demon.

Eris managed to leave God Valley alive with her son. She’s most likely the one who passed down Davy’s will and Xebec’s will to Blackbeard.

The Yami Yami no Mi is the key to stripping Imu of his powers. That's why Teach has spent his entire life searching for it.

The entire God Valley flashback is the setup for Blackbeard vs Imu. Unlike Xebec, Teach will be prepared for that confrontation.

If the power gap is what worries you, I think Imu is gonna leave Elbaf defeated and badly weakened, probably after losing two or three Holy Knights as well. He could end up going back to in pretty rough shape, needing a long time to recover.

That could make things much easier for BB, to the point where beating Imu might not even be a problem for him. I don’t think it’ll happen right after Elbaf, but I do think it’s eventually going to happen.

I agree with everything, but I think it's happening soon after Elbaph arc ends.

I agree with what Nik said about Teach being "Dark Buddha" makes a lot of sense, due to him being fat and laughing, he looks like an evil Buddha. Sengoku and Enel's fat form might be hints about him. So he definitely needs a powerful zoan fruit, but I cannot think of any other fruit for now other than Imu's devil fruit which fits him the best. However, I'm not writing off the possibility of a sea related DF.

It being “the Devil’s fruit” implies it is different from other devil fruits.
Not that it matters much unless you can get past Domi Reversi.
It makes sense that Nika can resist the effect, but I’m still waiting for an explanation why Nidhogg can do so too. It would be a pretty lame conclusion if it’s just something like mythical Zoans being arbitrarily unaffected.

Either way, BB’s fruit would also have to be a secret mythical fruit. It would be hilariously stupid if Oda has to resort to that twice.
