Jew D. Boy@TheAncientCenturion@Natalija Back me up here - is it weird to have older people offline hurl “millennial” at you as a pejorative for being too young, only to come here and be labeled a senior citizen for the exact same thing?? Also, if we’re gonna start talking go-to foods when intoxicated, we may have to just start a thread, because I have A LOT of opinions.
Marimo_420@Cinera yeah don't bother. It was sort of like a gateway anime for me, but looking back, it's kinda trash.
Serious question to the elder squad. Does existing become easier after 25?🤔
TheAncientCenturionDefinitely not anymore. It's all about these Zoomers in this day and age, and their dickweed attitudes. Back when I was growing up, we didn't get Ipads or my parents didn't buy me cars when I was 16. Damn Zoomers and their better quality of living.
Lmaooo. I'm not sure I could keep up with you on that . I'm mostly a garbage bag when drunk, most bar food just goes in, or whatever shit's in front of me.
FinalbetaIn before I find out I'm the second youngest here :kek:
Jew D. Boy@Marimo_420 Well, let me ask you something...if someone punched you in the stomach twice a day, every single day for years on end, would you think it gets less unpleasant, or would you just get used to it and realize your powerlessness in the grand scheme of things?? That’s what being over 25 is like.
NatalijaCar at 16 is just crazytown. @Marimo_420 Easier in terms you sorta kinda have your shit together in your head, but then also a lot of pressure. Speaking for myself though :D
Jew D. Boy@TheAncientCenturion I got my first cell phone at 13 (a giant Nokia brick I had for most of high school), my first car at 19, and my first iPad at 20...each one of those felt like a God damn coup.
TheAncientCenturionI'll be the positive one of this bunch—Yeah. Teenage to young adult years, I felt like I was still sort of floating around. Still discovering a lot about myself and the type of friends I'd want. I'd say, I'm pretty happy with where I'm at? Big part of it is attitude though, a good outlook on life really helps.
FinalbetaWhat's the minimum age range to be part of the phantasmagorical elders squad?
TheAncientCenturionOh my lord. I can't even tell you the brand of my first phone, it was just a grey flip phone that I could pay extra money monthly to "connect online" with and grab very very cheap online "games". Didn't even have those fancy keyboards some of the flip phones later added on.
Jew D. BoyDon’t get me wrong...I’m not an optimist, but the back half of your 20s definitely feels different than the front half. Could also be my natural inclination to nihilism as well, six of one and all that 🤷♂️
Natalija@TheAncientCenturion I'm the positive one! Yeah, it sucks to be a teenager, man. 20s are the best. You've found yourself and you're kicking ass basically :D
Jew D. Boy@TheAncientCenturion My best friend got a Razr flip phone the year after I got my dumb phone, cannot overstate how fucking jealous I was. He was also the first one in our group to get an iPhone (first generation!) and a car, which didn’t help assuage my envy.
FinalbetaI guess 25 is the beginning of the downfall :P
NatalijaIt's a great feeling to earn your own iPhone though.
Jew D. Boy@Natalija You hit the nail on the head, my friend, I definitely worked hard for my first one. I’m also old enough to remember disliking Androids from the very beginning (except 16, 17, and 18)
@Jew D. Boy I completely feel the Iphone thing. I had a "rich friend" growing up who got one while everyone else was still using dinky little chunks of plastic and their Ipod nano's or shuffles.
TheAncientCenturionBuying my first Iphone with my own money (Iphone 4) was great. Cost me my first Summer's work to afford it and I sure as shit shattered it like a dumbass. But I'll treasure that model just for that reason.
