I started the Yakuza series with Zero ( played in chronological order instead of release) in september after buying the Zero-7 collection on sales , currently in the middle point of the 5 remastered.
I fully plan to play this one but it likely won't be before a few weeks/months so I'm staying away from discussions to avoid spoilers lol

Other the spin-offs, which are great as well, I 100% recommend Judgment and Lost Judgment. They are super good. They also take place in Kamurocho IIRC, same universe in any case but a different protagonist.

Yep, steam with a dualsense . I technically have Infinite Wealth and the spin-offs like Judgement on PS5 though (my brother copies) so I won't have to buy them
And I'm absolutely loving the series, it's over the top in a way that I love. Only issue I had was from a gameplay standpoint when I switched from Kiwami 2 to Y3 (but then I learned about wall bounding and it went smooth lol).

If you like Hokuto no Ken there's also Lost Paradise, a "Hokuto Yakuza" from the same devs for PS4. It's not as a GREAT like a proper Yakuza but it's Kenshiro. Also pass a friend invite link or something if you want.
