"Endure, Master Wayne. Take it. They’ll hate you for it, but that’s the point of Batman, he can be the outcast. He can make the choice that no one else can make, the right choice." - Alfred Pennyworth, The Dark Knight
“Your anger gives you great power. But if you let it, it will destroy you…As it almost did me.” - Henri Ducard, Batman Begins
It's annoying having friends/relatives that are anime onlies while you read the manga, not necessarily shaming them for being anime only but it can feel awkward when you accidentally spoil them. Like I accidentally spoiled my brother on some of the stuff in Elbaf (not intentional, I was watching Tekking and he overheard) and I felt really bad about it. He didn't mind, but it still felt bad.
Might finally make a sequel to that Mihawk thread I made a while ago
But first I'm probably gonna make a thread about Zoro since I see that some people need their memory refreshed on his feats and portrayal
I wanted to reply to you in the thread but our hero mod team banned me.
Re: parasocial relationships:
I get it when a person is pre-puberty and they find themselves in a sports team, athlete, movie star (read: real person). But the first atom of testosterone usually deals with that LARPing part of one's life.
Whiteknighting drawings is a foreign concept for me though.
Caught up on Chainsaw Man. Damn good manga, but obviously part 2 < part 1 imo
Still if I had to rank both I'd say part 1 is an 8/10 at the lowest, 9/10 at the highest
Might be overrating it a little bit, but, I don't care.
Part 2 is a 6 at the least, 7 at the most. Art got a little more rough (mostly faces and bodies are drawn worse than they were before), and it feels less cohesive than part 1.
