@TheKnightOfTheSea finished Book 1: my only big criticisms are that there was no real through-line to this book, I don’t really understand why all of these characters got together and where they are going and what is happening outside of one eavesdropping conversation that was sparse on details. I also think this book doesn’t really have an ending, it just sort of stops and sets up book 2.
" … I had it all wrong. I thought that being “strong” meant being “invincible” … That it meant being “immortal,” powerful enough to shrug off any and all attacks … But the truth is that he’s already accumulated damage beyond his own limits. There’s not a single inch of his body that’s unharmed. He’s as far from healthy as he can get. But Ouma’s not giving up the fight."
Hey I saw a message made by you about people supporting criminals in one piece, and I get it with people like Blackbeard and so on but keep in mind pirates are criminals against a government that's ruled by genocidal aristocrats with the devil over them, and their core crime is not being ruled by them which is what makes them pirates
And I personally love marines like especially Coby, Helmeppo, Smoker, Tashigi
