RayanOO@Dragomir I didn't even think about that but yeah design wise you're right. But the story the character etc are really really different. AOT is really a great manga, but this is not a shonen
HxH was an inspiration for a lot of works
D
DragomirOh, shit, AoT is actually a seinen. Never knew that lmao. Read the chapters thinking this was some dark shonen.
F
Formerly Seth@Dragomir BS. Like it or not AoT is shonen.
dizzy2341@Dragomir Whilst I'd agree for Jojo and MHA, I don't think HxH is better than OP, Naruto or KnY. Not because the latter 3 are amazing, but because HxH simply isn't all that amazing itself.
D
DragomirDamn, really? Why do you think so? Let's talk about it on the discord server. Don't wanna keep spamming Lee's profile.
RayanOO@Seth Rollins even if AOt is classified as Shonen (I don't know at all) but it is really different from Naruto bleach HxH MHA Dragon ball etc of typical shonen. We can't compare AOT to them
F
Formerly Seth@RayanOO Even if it's not a seinen it's one of the best series ever and Eren is one of the best fucking MC's ever.
Who reads manga then will understand.
dizzy2341More emotionally moving, more fleshed out characters, better world building, far more interesting narrative, characters are more intriguing, better continuity, greater weight.
F
Formerly Seth+ Power level system makes fucking sense - King and RG
dizzy2341Yeah, wasn't a fan of how out of nowhere this unbelievably powerful alien species just appears with the power to destroy everyone. Some of these things didn't exist until a few days ago and all of a sudden they're stronger than the best nen users in the world??
D
DragomirHmm, those are pretty much the exact same reasons for why I'd put HxH above OP. The relationship between Gon and Killua makes the Strawhats look like strangers. You can feel the impact of their friendship while watching but for the SHs, it's severely lacking. I can't put OP's narrative/story above HxH my guy. HxH has much better execution with it's story.
D
DragomirOP has the higher potential but that's never reached with Oda botching up his story and characters while Togashi keeps the arcs flowing smoothly. As for fleshed-out characters. I would give that to HxH. The Chimera ants and the Phantom Troupe are a more fleshed out antagonist group than the entirety of post-skip for me.

You talking about the Dark Continent right? Can't comment on this one as I still haven't touched the manga yet.
dizzy2341I didn't mention relationships. But yeah, I'm not a fan of Gon and find him bland so I don't really care much for his relationship. Why do you put HxH's story above OP? I find OP has a faaaar better story AND better execution of it.
