Katakuri does not have Ryou but he probably has the strongest form of actual Koka that we'll see for a long time lol, as all the CoA focused fighters we'll see from here on out will probably specialize in Ryou rather than Koka.

So really Katakuri might have one of the strongest Koka's that we'll see.

It’s not Ryou. Luffy would’ve mentioned Katakuri if it was, like how he mentioned Doffy for awakening but not Cracker.

Katakuri’s CoA is strong but imo it’s more the shape of his fist that adds the strength.

I think you guys have the wrong idea of what Ryou is, Hyogoro described Ryou as flow of Haki, the "flow" of access energy and he even emphasized on the word "Flow".

"The word signifies that it FLOWS"

So any weapon user can use the "Flow" of Haki and transmit the Haki to their weapons is using Ryouou. Another form of Ryou is Gouken where the the CoA user uses flow to launch out a Haki in form of a shock wave

So basically any CoA user who can coat their weapons with Haki including Vergo, Kinnemon, Kanjuro etc can use Ryou.

To give you another context, Kinnemon, regarding Enma's ability says, it "Draws out Ryou from its user".

So I don't recall if Katakuri coated his Mogura with Haki cuz if he did, then he is using flow, and flowing the Haki from his body to Mogura. In that case Katakuri can indeed use flow.

Using flow doesn't mean your Haki is stronger than other Haki user, it just means you have better mastery of it as you can channel the excess energy out of your body.

Gamma Knife Haki is an advanced use of flow as you are not only channeling access energy out of your body, you are putting it in your opponent's body, damaging them from inside.

Kata didnt have flow but his level of hardening was superior to luffys. Theres different branches to coa not just one consecutive line to follow.

Funnily enough luffys struggled with his hardening level up until now. Every enemy apart from cesar has broke it hody bellamy doffy, or been superior like cracker (almost took his arm) and kata.

Katakuri didn't have ryou...he just had advanced version of CoO...his armament was harder than Luffy..as simple as that

I don't think Kata had ryou (at least the internal ryou). Ryou is the COA equivalent of FS, and is an ability I don't instagrant to even top tiers (I doubt BM, Kaido or any of the C3 have FS for example).

It was never hinted or implied that Cracker or Katakuri had ryou, and given that we saw both of them fight to the best of their abilities, I would guess they lack it. Kata obviously specialised in COO, while Cracker just isn't special/important enough to merit advanced haki.

Aokiji and akinu have fs. They both shifted their bodies to avoid haki attacks.

That's plausible I guess.

Yeah I did. I think there might be a difference between being able to control flow enough to transfer it to a weapon and being able to use techniques like Goken or create a barrier.
