You should definitely watch death note. Sub or dub are both phenomenal. Code Geass not so much if you like to think. The contrivances annoyed the hell outta me lol

Both are epic but for me Code Geass > Deathnote, Lelouch > Light Yagami....

I'm 2 episodes in and it's not bad. I'm like how L and Light have the same view of themselves. Thinking they're both justice but opposing goals. L sees Light as a mass murderer that needs to be caught which lines up with him being a detective

While Light wants to rid the world of criminals using the death note to create this utopia of just good, normal folks. He thinks he's doing a favor to everyone.

I understand both viewpoints and I like the dynamic. Tho, Light trying to become a God and shit is kinda eh. Kinda makes him feel like an Aizen like villain who just wants to control the world. I'd think he'd be better without all that.

Anyway, I'll keep watching. Just a quick question, is Light the protagonist with L being the antagonist? That's how it feels right now.

yes and no L is the protagonist and light is the antagonist but we see most of the story from lights perspective or at least that’s how i see it
