That's because baseball, basketball, and American football originated in the country. Anything we invent we tend to embrace and push out towards the world rather than the opposite. Yeah I know I mostly meant that some sports turned more popular due a cultural aspect :P but I recall a few sports like Volleyball came out earlier than Football? My memory could very well be missing however

@Seth When baseball was first introduced in the US, women played the game just as much as men. Hell, when men formed a professional league, women formed their own league because men wouldn't allow them (sexism) to play along side them.

So America being it's macho self, made the determination that men who played softball were too soft/feminine and they needed to be toughened up by playing baseball. Therefore, softball was later deemed to be a predominantly women's sport. All of this shit happened in the 18-1900s. A government initiative later demanded more funding for women's sports, with more money going towards softball then baseball... continued.

So women play baseball just as good as men, its just society has pushed women into the area of softball, while men can play still play both baseball and softball. Good old America 🙃
