The problem is if Zoro blackens Enma by himself(with no mention of Oden having being a factor in it), I think it will be fair to say Zoro surpassed him(like Ryuuma in the past) and that would create power creep where we will have to explain Kaido got that much stronger during the last 20 years to the point he can fight 2 guys on Oden's level + kid, killer,Law at the same time.

Roger didn't defeat Oden, because Whitebeard came in swinging immediately. No doubt Oden is strong, but he is meant to be surpassed this arc. This is the common structure of the story. Only if Zoro kills kaido tho. If Kaido is beaten and not killed, no one but Luffy will have surpassed Oden

Claiming that Oden is a YC 1, is no better than those that claim Doffy was the strongest Shichibukai.

It was a weak Kaido and a strong Oden. YC1 are nothing to sleep on. Oden told Kaido to get stronger in 20 years, build up his forces whatnot. Kaido is still a Yonko, but was he a Yonko in your eyes prior?
Where you place Oden depends on your power structure where Admirals and Yonko stand compared to YC1.

That pedastal was constructed by Kaido with his blatant infatuation for Oden and the way he was beaten. There's more to the story than just power levels Cinera-kun. Look at the surroundings of that fight

While there would have been some power creep, Kaido did not start out the fight against that version of Zoro from the very beginning. Zoro blackening Enma while fighting Kaido will indicate that Zoro grew significantly during the Kaido fight.

I see it now, i think it was 5 or 6 years that Oden had left Roger/WB. If anything this boosts Kaido.
