@HA001 I said there are 2 possibilities, that either 1) Oda was lacking once below the description of a fan art he wrote in seconds, or 2) (which is what I believe is the most logical one), everyone who fights with a sword is a swordsman, but not necessarily a pure one.

Mihawk = Swordsman. Law = Swordsman + Devilfruitman. BIg Mom = Swordsman + Devilfruitman + Boxer. You have to differentiate between them and not reduce them all to that one fighting ability. Mihawk is the WSS, so he beats everyone in swordsmanship. Doesent mean he cant be crushed by Zeus and Big Mom's raw brute strength.

@nik87 Has Oda ever said that the moment a character is a swordsman, he gets reduced to that one fighting ability of theirs? You can be a swordsman, but a Devilfruitman (for example) at the same time.

Devilfruitman is fandom fabrication, swordsman is Oda's words. Nobody is reduced to swords, neither do they stop being swordsmen if they have other abilities.

If he loses to kaku or king or any zoan cause of a strength buff from their zoan (not swordsmanship) he loses his title.
