BallelWhat happens when an audience gets too old for the series.
Comparing One Piece to seinen just doesnt work.
Hadesjust cause readers became "mature" doesn't mean that Oda has to "change" things all of a sudden just for "minority" of these "mature" readers....and going by the threads made by these "mature" readers, one can understand that their "adrenaline" is much worse than "teens" that follow the series that was made for these "teens"...
Blother FertittaIt all stems to the luffy shit. Luffy is pirate Jesus, they need to get over it. Pre time skip had all this shit, but it was so organic and thats what made luffy great. But because of Oda fucking up stakes for luffy post timeskip, it feels forced now even though it has always existed.
Blother FertittaThe ironic and funny thing is that, there is much more content in the post timeskip to shadow this joyboy luffy shit but oda somehow cant seem to make it subtle but rather puts big asterisks and exclamation marks around it for cOntRovErSy and views.
Hadeswhat stakes did Oda fuck for Luffy post skip? it is stupid of people to think that Luffy remain weak....at one hand, people hate typical shonen troupe but on other hand they want "underdog" Luffy which is again typical of shonen...
HadesI still don't understand this joyboy/Luffy bullshit....care to elaborate more?

BallelPeople will always keep complaining but will still consume fiction that consists of the same old tropes , stereotypes and generic characters types.
Uncle VanWhat has changed is the rate Oda implements these standard shonen tropes. Poskskip has been nothing but giant arcs with like 80 characters that Oda tries to give screentime to. More tropes and conveniences became far more prevalent.
Blother FertittaAfter a two year timeskip with Rayleigh Luffy should have come out much stronger. Doflamingo fight was way too overextended. Cracker should’ve been a mid diff for Luffy, there was no need to make each of Cracker Soldiers require G4 Luffy. Katakuri fight was aight. And then the Kaido shit makes no sense. Luffy can’t tank a Thunder Bagua in G4 but then both Zoro and law tank it, shit don’t add up.
Blother Fertitta@Hades do you like the Joyboy/Luffy shit? I don’t really mind. I loved it at first but it doesn’t bother me now
Blother Fertitta@Van The conveniences are expected but they work. The BIG issue is cramming in 100 different relevant characters and lacking focus on them. If Oda could give a character arc for ShuShu the dog in pre timeskip there is NO acceptable excuse to not focus in on Eustass Kid, Luffys so called biggest Rival
HadesI will wait regarding the joyboy/Luffy shit...Luffy is literally not a joyboy nor his reincarnation like many people are "imagining" here...don't let these "imaginations" influence you...that is why you loved it first but bothering you now...just wait and let the plot unfold before making "premature" conclusions.....
Hades@Ten Yaksha Blother yeah so in one word...G4 is kinda like glass cannon....you could say Oda did some disservice to Luffy in an attempt to make him look like an underdog....
B
Ballel@Hades There is no' real' reincarnation in OP. People inherit someone's will. That is something different
Blother FertittaReincarnation isn’t a problem. It’s in a lot of Eastern Stories and mythos. Real problem is pacing and lacking character plot lines. And focus on traaaaash plot lines. Anyways I’m done ranting
Uncle Van@Ten Yaksha Blother they're expected yes and they were common preskip. For postskip, the perfect example is BM. You have a character that wants to kill your other characters and can easily do so, but you don't want them to die and also want to create tension. Gotta them away from her somehow and it happened a lot in such a short amount of time
B
Ballel@Ten Yaksha Blother Yeah like Tama, Gifters shit, millions of chapters spent on that fight between Luffy and that sumo guy, Nami bullshit powerup against Ulti..
Hades@Van yeah, instead of so called shonen troupe, the main problem was excessive dragging of certain things by Oda and giving too much focus to irrelevant things...for example, he wasted 4 chapters for g4 time limit...like that arc climax was a mess whether it is a dressrosa or wci and that is why people feel post TS was kinda meh,
Hadesif Oda gives good climax to wano like he did with pre TS arcs, wano could remain as one of the good arcs...
Uncle VanAnother problem is Oda's over reliance on cliffhanger endings. Oda has said that he tries to be unpredictable but he's just removing the tension with these constant false alarms. The Oden ink clone is one example.
