Not really that much lol. I'm not stanning any group or artist but KPop has some good songs. There are some creative arrangements that you'll never find in Western pop music.
Also I LOVE the blending of modern with traditional.

Yesss, kpop has drastically different melodies and production compared to Western music, it's a lot more melodic and that is why I adore it.

It's more melodic becauae it draws its inspiration from Korean/east Asian traditional music.
It's cool how they tried to make something that sounds like Western pop/hiphop music but ended up creating their their own thing based on their own musical customs.

I am far from being an expert at korean traditional instruments coz there are a lot... but sounds to me like "Taepyeongso"
