I think the biggest takeaway from that would be that these swords were forged by the Kozuki, potentially Kotetsu, the guy who is Tengu's ancestor. Now if this figure existed during the void century then it would be really interesting to see what exactly transpired back in the day for the Shodai Kitetsu to potentially land in the bald gorosei's hands (has the exact Kitetsu hilt).
Not sure what his purpose is exactly aside from possibly teaching Momo/Hiyori how to inscribe Poneglyphs. He could be there to forge a new weapon for someone or to repair an old broken one... Certainly interested in Shodai and who Nidai belonged to in the past. 👀
