What? You don't like having to fight 2 bosses in a small room over and over again?

Not even the gank bosses bro, Maliketh, Placidusax, Malenia, Fire Giant, Farum Azula, all terrible..it’s like Fromsoft forgot all the good design principals they learned from their past games.

I hate when the boss is the camera rather than the boss itself

“Shit” is an exaggeration but there are major issues lol. I would say:

1. Dark Souls
2. Dark Souls 3/Sekiro
3. Elden Ring
4. Dark Souls II

I have not played Bloodborne or Demon Souls, but from what I know I’d put Bloodborne with DS3 and Sekiro and Demon Souks with DS2.

DS2 forever at the bottom of everyone's lists lol

DS2 has great DLCs. The rest of the game is drivel tho.

Damn, you didn’t like Maliketh or Placidusax? Those were probably my favorite fights other than Mohg (the lord of blood version).

I absolutely hated Maliketh, good lord. Placidusax wasn’t awful, but he was a noticeable downgrade from Midir which I wasn’t expecting. I figured From would evolve their dragon fights but they really didn’t in this game, Midir is still the peak of dragon boss design.

I actually have Placid over Midir. I feel like the camera was better and the damage reduction was way less bullshit. I also personally just found the spectacle way cooler.
I also don't really get the Maliketh hate. Is it just the speed or how hard he hits? Cuz he has less than half the health of the other endgame fights.

My ranking of the games (* indicates interchangeable)
1. Sekiro*
2. Bloodborne*
3. Dark Souls
4. Dark Souls 3*
5. Elden Ring*
(quality gap)
6. Demon’s Souls*
7. Dark Souls 2*

I actually think DS3 is kind of very mediocre outside of its bosses. It's like a reverse Elden Ring lol

Placidusax was the Ancient Dragon from DS2, but prettier. I defeated him by attacking his legs and tail repeatedly, which to me was boring and tedious. His attacks also did not feel that threatening and more like annoyances.

Midir challenges you to fight him headon, which significantly increases the tension in the fight as you actually have to read his movements and attacks.

Placidusax, I couldn’t even tell what he was doing half the time because I was staring at his ass.

Maliketh..good fucking god. I could rant on him for hours. The Beast Clergymen eats ass, he has several attacks that are undogdeable, and he’s just constant aggression without ever giving a colossal Chad sword used like myself even a second to get an action in. His projectile attacks are all homing bullshit,
Elder Lee Hung
Elder Lee Hung
And he isn’t even a spectacle fight, Clergymen is ugly, annoying, and cheap.

Maliketh is at least cool, but his range is completely broken, all of his attacks were one shotting me or limiting my health to the point that I Was one shot material.

So you have a phase 1 that is stupid bullshit designed to annoy you, and a phase 2 that is a spectacle sure but also designed to one shot you as well. Imo.
EmperorKinyagi

Placidusax starts teleporting at 70% HP and the AI is literally designed to keep you in front of him Twin Princes style. I didn’t have the experience of attacking his behind.

Also, none of beast clergyman’s attacks are undodgeable. If you’re referring to the 1-2 swipe he does there’s a bunch of flat out misinformation about the number of start ups frames I’ve seen.

And while Maliketh does two shot you in the second phase, I think his tells are really obvious and he’s a glass canon.

Also if you found the item in Farum that parries him it’s a cake walk even with slow builds.
