I wouldn't rate Nashandra as the strongest opponent BotC fights. Nashandra was said to be the smallest fragment, and I don't see why she would be stronger than Elana(another fragment of manus), Sinh, who seems to be an ancient dragon or a descendent of them or Fume Knight, who's boosted by another shard.
Elder Lee Hung
Ashen One > Chosen Undead ~ Bearer of the Curse. The Ashen One slays multiple lords of cinder while the CU/Bearer essentially just become Lords of Cinder themselves.
Uncle Van
Ashen One>Bearer of the Curse>Chosen Undead. Ashen Ones slayed multiple intelligent and powerful beings along with big ass dragons. BotC mainly slayed mindless beasts and mob type enemies, while the Chosen undead didn't slay people that powerful until the DLC.

The Ashen One does defeat the Soul of Cinder, and in one of the endings of DS1 Chosen Undead becomes the second Lord of Cinder.
@Van the chosen undead defeated Nito before the dlc and he was one of the original 4 lords

One of the reasons I put Botc above the Chosen is because his world requires more battle IQ due to all the bullshit he deals with lol. DS1 versions can be stronger, but the DS2 versions are more perilous
It’s very telling that the strongest opponent the BotC fights in their prime is just a shard of manus.
