nik87The hearing breath part is related to CoO.
The strike at tree leaves is external haki flow.
The cutting of mr1 could be Hardening which wasnt shaded back then.
Boat is couple of haki techniques put into one scene, Oda probably didnt have a clear haki path back then...

DragomirHmm, that's kinda hard to grasp around my head. I want to join in on the "could Luffy beat Mr. 1" thread saying that he would lose but I want to understand how Zoro won first. You think you could explain that?
nik87Well Zoro was hearing something more than just presence, a heartbeat, a breathe of the falling rocks and he avoided them. He did that without even having a sword in his hands. Be could hear the breathe all day long, it has nothing to do with cutting process, imo.
The strike at the leaves or at the paper by Koshiro has to be haki flow to create a layer between the sword and the leaves/paper otherwise how does a sword
nik87... magically stops cutting?
Cutting mr1... Both mr1 and Zoro's sword were steel and if he applied Hardening on his sword it became superior hardness than mr1 without Hardening and thus ended up superior in that clash.
At least that's my understanding of the scene.

DragomirI've got another question. Do you believe that Luffy is unable to hurt Mr. 1? The latter is only immune to cutting attacks correct? He is steel but steel isn't impervious to blunt damage forever. Luffy might not be able to take him quickly but after several attacks, Mr. 1 should start feeling pain. Do you find that fair?
