Yeah, Chrono Trigger is one of the greatest! I also love the Ys series, Mother/Earthbound, DQ, Star Tropics, and random titles like Sword of Vermillion. SNES and Genesis have most of my favs.

Okami is amazing! I cried like a baby several times when I played it. Shadow of the Colossus is another one that I cried the whole way through and was released around the same time as Okami.

Oooh yes! I really enjoyed YS Origin! Brilliant game! I tried to play the first 2 but didn't get along with them. A good friend of mine swears by Oath In Felghana? Mother/Earthbound I've heard a lot about never tried. Was permanently scarred by a Newgrounds animation with "Prince Poo" in a more literal sense so that put me off too hahaha! I tried a Dragon Quest game on DS and also FInal Fantasy 3 I think it was

Sword of Vermilion is one I always meant to try but never did. I knew a girl who loved Star Ocean, who was the one to get me into TOS and Shaman King too lol. Star Tropics Ive heard of but not tried. Sword of Mana/Secret of Mana I was meant to try too. Breath of Fire, Blue Dragon etc.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers on Wii was so freaking good too imo! Loved the telekinesis type powers the game revolved around, so unique and fun!

Gosh this is such a trip down memory lane haha! Did you ever play Secret of Thor/Beyond Oasis too? I LOVED that game. One of my cousins got me into it and we BINGED IT all night, was my first all nighter ever, we did like an 18 hour session of it and completed the game

together, it was priceless! I had a bunch of older cousins who all got me into gaming, especially Mega Drive/Genesis and one of them gave me their Mega Drive and I think I got some games from some of them too.

There was also these really swell card RPG type games on Gamecube called Lost Kingdoms 1 and 2, it was like Yugioh meets Monster Hunter or Zelda for me. Made by the Dark Souls devs too! Absurdly good games!

came to Wii and eventually Steam/PC much later, it changed my life so much, I fell IN LOVE with it so much! Its because of Okami I had such EXTREMELY high expectations for Wano too especially! Well that and maybe Sengoku Basara which is also fantastic in its own ways imo.

Its sad how LAUGHABLY SUPERIOR Okami is to Wano too, I cant even begin to describe how frustrating it is seeing Oda BUTCHER the Orochi so mercilessly when it was truly a relentless, unstoppable, cockroach-like boss in Okami! Such an epic storyline spanning a century too at least ofc!

Okamis art style and soundtrack were phenomenal too!

At college, I was studying games design and we had to do a case study on our favourite game, so I picked Okami and just went HAM talking about it! Ohammy even! LMAO! Oath in Felghana is good! It's a remake of the 3rd one, my fav.
Mother is really, really weird. You have to be at least slightly high to play it I think. It's really engaging and funny though.

Same, you've got great taste! I forgot about Golden Sun! That's a really good series for people who like to tinker with stats constantly like me. You've played a lot of good ones!
I checked out Beyond Oasis when it showed up in the Genesis app on switch, but never finished it.
Parappa is great, but the second one, Jammer Lammy, is crazier and absolutely insane. Guitaroo Man is also kinda weird but sweet.
