Matching luffys hardening isnt a feat when its been broken or stated to be weaker than all his opponents post timeskip bar cesar.
Luffy gets over his poor hardening with more force (g4)

No. Doffy just perfectly knew how Law's DF works. He cancelled his slashes at that moment when Law tried to slice him. Doffy's knowledge of Law's fruit was the reason for his superiority against Law. Not to mention that Law himself was weakened as fuck - and his DF drains his stamina even further.

Cracker manhandled gear 4 and without nami he loses.
Kata was even worse g4 was ragdolled.
Meanwhile g4 played pinball with doffy.

Doflamingo is very much able to leverage his awakening for effective CQC (as much of an oxymoron as this maybe).

@HA001 distracted or not, Jozu still couldn't escape parasite and was forced to play the role of Doflamingo's foot stool.

Doffy didn't shit himself against Kuzan, but he did back down yeah.

Kuzan froze Jozu and took him out of commission, on the other hand when froze Doffy, Doffy could escape under his own power.

@Sentinel I'm not arguing that Doffy is on first mate level. It seems that a gimmick on the level of future sight (in Marco's case his regeneration) may be required by first mate characters.

It clearly wasnt to the same extent. The one on doffy was like what he did to robin. Hollow. Kuzan had no reason to hurt a warlord then. Whilst jozu was to the core and ripped his arm off.

Katakuri having awakening isn't a point against Doffy IMO. While yes, Kata did have awakening, his did not appear superior (Doffy affected a wider area and seemed more versatile and impressive to me), YC 3 level characters do not appear to possess awakening.

I did not deny that Doflamingo's awakening isn't versatile but compared to Katakuri, Doffy lacks the ability to form something like Power Mochi. Imagine Doffy forming something similar like a string hole from the ground to the air to attack Bound Man on every angle - he'd have definitely hit Bound Man several times.

The presence of awakening favours Doffy among the other mid high tiers IMO.

@HA001 when Kata lost access to his Future Sight, he was also similarly ragdolled by G4. Recall however that the Doffy that faced G4 was already substantially weakened by Law's Gamma Knife.

Cracker is a very defensive focused fighter, so he was able to more effectively stall Boundman than Doflamingo. This doesn't mean that Cracker is in fact any stronger.

As ive seen @Van point out loads of times luffy wasnt in the best nick either.

If Zoro had fought Doffy on Dressrosa, Doffy would have to rely on his superior mobility to evade, his stitching/self repair ability to withstand cuts and would probably bring out his awakening eventually.

Whilst hes defensive he has the offensive power to slice through g4. Which is superior to doffy.
