@Natalija I don't even know how someone could blame Rey or feminism for bringing back Palpatine or Luke's character being a mockery of the optimistic and open minded guy who thought even Vader could be redeemed (but now decides to kill his nephew over a bad dream...). I can understand gripes about forced messages, no one wants that. That has nothing to do with making an important girl character.

I’ve said in the past that I wished Mihawk was female so it would prove Kuina wrong about women being unable to be WSS. I take it all back. If he was a woman, Oda would draw Zoro cutting off her bra or some hideously misogynistic scene during their fight.

@Chrono In OJ, I think a bunch of us in the old critics club discussed it. And from prior interviews and statements made by Oda, I'm pretty sure it's all very intentional. Nami and Robin have suffered physically in the past, Nami vs Miss Double finger and Robin vs Spandem comes to mind. It's that Oda wants to write more about the boys and their adventures—

—And the girls are there to look pretty or do 1 or 2 important things an arc. IIRC, @Den_Den_Mushi provided a few of the interviews that sealed the case where Oda wanted to write a series specifically for young boys, not taking his female audience into account.

@Chrono Eeeeeh, well I don’t agree with all of these. But definitely he has had less time to further develop them. Which is why I was essentially against the crew growing in numbers, but alas. He’s doing the best he can with 9462629473628362 characters.

@TheAncientCenturion Well I am talking about post timeskip. Like early pre timeskip this wasnt much of an issue. However it got worse and worse. It probably became most apparent in Amazon Lily. With Luffy defeating Hancock's "ugly" sisters. When he's turn to face the "beautiful" Hancock.....she suddenly falls in love with him. Even though she's the arc antagonist. From there on female potrayal has gone to hell.

Strong females are so cool. Like the potential Robin had as a fighter compared to whatever tf she is now.....its just sad.

@Natalija Same. I still like her after rereading Amazon Lily, her backstory's really unique and I think she has a lot of potential as a character. But every time I really get into it, I remember she's tied down as a one sided love interest for Luffy.

It annoys me so much when Robin does lame moves with her DF. Like spider net or that hand flower thing. Like Geez just turn into a 100 armed Giant Hulk and fuck them all up.

But her devil fruit being very very purposeful to charm men yet to not really pose a threat to someone more serious ever... It’s a gag on its own, especially considering her title. I don’t care about Alvida and the likes, but if you give her a title, have her fill the shoe

I forgot Toki existed. I'm still expecting us to get an End of Wano Toki flashback, but her character is damaged beyond belief just by being connected to Oden and his story.
