Luffy fought a Kaido that had already fought almost a dozen people.Luffy needs to 1v1 a top tier to prove he is truly a big dog.

Your argument would work if Luffy fought Kaido solo but it wasn't. Kaido fought an entire gauntlet and was already heavily exhausted when he fought a stronger Luffy.

Luffy may or may not have a skirmish with Kizaru, but I doubt there will be an all out fight. If he's fighting an admiral all out, it's Akainu, but even then it's questionable whether it will be an all out 1v1. The only all out fights left imo are Blackbeard and Imu, in no particular order.

@comrade Akainu is the Fleet Admiral, not an Admiral anymore. And besides, Luffy's gonna beat at least two Yonkos (Kaido and BB), so where is the issue in beating an Admiral now? Also, I wanna see some FTL feats if Luffy surpasses Kizaru in speed.
@Cinera If Luffy's gonna fight Saturn, it means one of the Gorosei already loses before EoS arc. Imo it's not likely.

@Sentinel: if the Gorosei are all bonafide Top Tiers, then Luffy doesn't have 5 crew members to fight and defeat them all.
I don't see a Gorosei falling before EOS as meaningfully different from an Admiral falling before the final war.

Though I think if the Strawhats really are just focusing on escaping, it's plausible that they don't fully defeat their World Government opponents.

@Cinera Luffy will have a huge alliance in EoS. Law, Sabo and Kidd can fight the 3 while Zoro and Sanji fight the other 2. There's no issue.
The difference is that Luffy has a legitimate reason to have a rematch against Kizaru. He lost against Kizaru in pre-ts and couldn't protect his crew. Meanwhile the Gorosei were just revealed to be powerful a few chapters ago and they are still too relevant to be put down yet

After Laugh Tale when Luffy's PK and fights the "Fleet Admiral"??? Again, Luffy has a good reason to beat Kizaru this arc. It's personal. While he doesn't even know Saturn who said he'll hide his power.
