That fish bomb could do good damage if it lands, but it would be pretty ridiculous to think Kisame couldn’t outswim that. Also, it KOing Isobu seems kinda like an inconsistency tbh, even if he was caught off guard by it. A standard Bijuudama is obviously much stronger than that, and it seems weird that Isobu wouldn’t be able to withstand his own Bijuudama.

Also iirc, Kisame did actually block V2 Bee’s Lariat with Samehada. It’s just that the attack was so powerful that it pushed Samehada into his chest. While Taka Sasuke was just straight up blitzed by it

Lol Shanks isn’t even in my top 10 fav characters yet. Kisame is one of my fav Akatsuki members, but not my favorite Naruto character overall. I really like Deidara but Kisame is just out of his league. Arguing that Deidara wins this fight relies on the assumption that Kisame will fight like a total idiot and just face tank attacks he can easily avoid or parry, as if it’s a turn based RPG

Not at all. Deidara has AP to knock a bijuu in water who is above Kisame in dura. Kisame's only chance is that if he can somehow absorb the chakra before the bomb explodes. Anyways even if Kisame wins he is not a league above deidara or anything.

Maybe, but why would Kisame not try to avoid that fish bomb or counter it with his own ranged attacks. Surely Kisame can swim much faster than that clay fish, given he was out swimming V2 Bee, who even has an aquatic Bijuu that should obviously be adept at swimming.

Also keep in mind that since Deidara isn’t immune to his own explosions, it’s pretty much over if Kisame gets his water dome off since Deidara will need to create distance between him and Kisame so that he won’t blow himself up, but that won’t be possible with how much master Kisame can swim than him

Deidara’s most realistic win con is getting off C4 before Kisame uses his water dome or fuses with Samehada

It’s at best a high diff imo. Deidara could even kill characters like Hashirama if he uses C4 quickly, but since this is a Shonen, Deidara will not use C4 until late in the fight. If it’s a fight with intel, Deidara wins 0/10 times since Kisame will know to look out for C4.

If it’s a fight with intel, I think it’s much more realistic for Kisame to pull out his water dome first since Deidara usually fights on his bird a few dozen meters above ground, and the water dome would give Kisame a very easy way to neutralize his flight advantage and give him a way to reach Deidara

Yeah. I'm not sure why Kisame is grouped up with them tbh. Kisame was laughing at the Zombie Duo's death and appraised Deidara's strength when news of his death came. Then Kishi hit us with Aoba directly hoisting Kisame above the others with the "strong enough to partner with Itachi" shtick.
