And Law's ability wasn't blocked with Haki. Doffy prevented Law from swinging his sword. Law cut through Vergo's hyped Haki on the other hand.

Well. The thing is, maybe Doffy was wrong when believing Haki can block that. As we've learned, Doffy and his officers know everything about Law's abilities. And while Doffy believed Vergo's Haki will block Law's ability, Law *proved* it wrong by cutting through Vergo. So it was just Doffy underestimating Law.

It was suggested that Vergo's haki could block Law's ability in the past though? Doffy underestimated Law's ability yeah, but it doesn't make sense to think Vergo's haki was strong enough to block Law's slashes if no level of haki is capable of doing so.

Maybe. But why would a stronger version magically be able to? Spatial hax is spatial hax. But let's assume strong barrier Haki can. Imagine Law using his Ope with top tier Haki too. That fruit is overkill.
