The WSJ cover page with Loki+Luffy+Zoro makes me think he will indeed be the final big fight of the arc, despite him being a clear misunderstood tsundere, since all the other arc villains got similar color pages.
However if Oda is going to try to paint Loki as a schemer who's gonna betray...
New prediction, the time we're spending in the Sun Realm/Underworld parts of the tree is just a shorter transition arc like W7 and then the EL will be going to the Heaven Realm where the God Elbaph (was mentioned a quarter of a century ago in Little Garden) resides :catsure:.
If Shamrock is gone, Loki is the arc princess™, Sommers and Qillingham have super gimmicky powers which make them look like potential Usopp fodder, and none of the M3 are allowed to seriously beat up Gunko because she's a cute girl in Oda's manga, will this arc have an actual final villain?
Pew's summary strikes me as weird this week for some reason. Like it's literally word for word just taken from posts here where people were guessing what the gay hints meant with no additional developments.
Maybe I'm heartless but I've never really cared when Oda pulls this "a bunch of NPC children have been kidnapped/abused!!" thing in an attempt to raise stakes
Most of my first thoughts have already been mentioned so I'll add something else to the pile: Hancock and her sisters forgetting they could just tattoo/brand something else over their CD marks instead of living in such desperate fear of anyone seeing the marks that they'd kill innocent people...
I like fanservice+watch some pretty degenerate stuff+know what to expect from Oda but even I think Gunko's design is bad. Not sure how best to describe it. Instead of being sexy it genuinely looks like she just forgot to put on pants in the morning which sorta makes the Holy Knights come across...
