At 17 Luffy punched a Celestial Dragon over Hacchan
At 17 Dragon shot a Celestial Dragon to save Kuma
At 17 Garp killed a slave to save a Celestial Dragon
Biggest flaw of One Piece is that it doesn’t take itself seriously enough for the topics it wants to cover.
You have morally (dark) gray dystopia with very few actual “good” characters, and while a genocide is happening…. we are having a gooner battle…
bruh
Well yeah but pirate island is a place where you aren't supposed to fight
I genuinely feel like "Morgans says there's legendary treasures on God Valley, let's get them before Rocks men!"
Wouldn't have been hard to believe. Like at all.
And from a writing perspective you could have just had...
I mean... Garling views non-CDs as insects/trash...
He could have just said "you're not worthy for my status" and killed her. And it would perfectly match his character.
I mean you could still just have Morgan's leak info. We know Rocks wants legendary DFs (and his real motivation would be saving his family).
So getting Rocks to God Valley is easy.
Roger and Rocks already have an established rivalry outside of Shakky I really don't think it was necessary to...
Anyone else feel like the Shakky stuff was completely unnecessary?
Like there is so much treasure at God Valley anyway (legendary DFs, treasure and riches, slaves, etc)
What does fighting over Shakky add to anything? It was perfectly reasonable for them to fight over legendary treasure anyway...
The Shakky stuff is awful and wasn't even necessary since there were other prizes at God Valley that pirate crews would reasonably fight over (legendary DFs, treasure, slaves, etc)
Literally serves no point other than making the writing cringier
