Jinbe is a great addition since he does not fit into the typical Strawhat scheme, making him unique. This is refreshing. I feel like Impel Down/Marineford Arc created a strong bond between Luffy and him. Jinbe being a Strawhat member feels like the logical next step for his loyalty to Luffy...

This screams like a Sabaody type arc with a mix of Amazon Lily and Impel Down. The lurking legend is probably the silhouette and he mirrors Rayleigh in Sabaody.
