Zoro was the only one that can give Kaido a scar because he uses swords, right? So you can't make this comparison and Oda knew it too. So in the same chapter he made Zoro and Luffy attack Kaido and only Luffy was the one to put Kaido on his knees. Same we can say for Yamato some chapters later...

I agree that Loki probably will never join, but I still feel like Sanji and Zoro will become stronger, that's it.

Well it's better than what Zoro did (and obviously what Sanji would have done in that position). Oda even made Zoro talk about not being able to put Kaido on his knees and Yamato did it some chapter later.

Yamato looked better than Sanji and Zoro in wano. Now in Elbaph they probably are stronger. Now the same is happening with Loki. The wings just need one/two arcs to surpass them.

Well initially I thought it was to make Shanks look better, but the result is the same.
