The fight they had a year prior to GV was because of the Kuja pirates imo.
Rocks beat them in a davy back and took Gloriosa.
Shakky asked Roger to help get Gloriosa back but the Roger pirates failed.
One year later, Roger pirates wanted payback + finish what they started so they went to GV...
I mean outside of just being a cool character with a badass design, I’m very interested in what his lore is.
He represents the suffering from success/lonely at the top type and I’m looking forward to seeing how he reached that and how Oda handles it.
Why his origins are still classified as...
Mihawk could become emperor but he chose not to and didn’t have interest in it.
None of the emperors can become the WSS.
So there’s your answer I guess.
I think Oda wanted to give Zoro a special blade but it was too early to give him a supreme grade blade cus he wanted only top tiers to have those so he just made Shusui a lower grade but also special by making it a black blade.
I wouldn't be surprised if later on we get more Ryuma lore and he...
Oda could do a twist here though and instead of the Roger pirates winning they FAIL miserably lol.
In chapter 1096, when we got a glimpse of God Valley, Roger specifically says "It's been a year. Do you know how I felt this whole time?" which clearly hints that they had a run in with the Rocks...
I think the reason for all the Kuja related stuff is set up to lead into them running into the Rocks pirates and losing a davy back which will lead to Gloriosa and possibly Shakky as well being forced to join Rocks pirates.
Then I think Oda will use this as a sort of way to connect the Roger...
One Piece: Golden Days
Premise: Follows the Roger pirates in their early days, how each member was recruited by Roger and the adventures they had before they had even dreamed of finding the One Piece. How they met and formed rivalries with characters like Garp and Sengoku etc.
I envision this...
I can’t believe people didn’t like this chapter and felt like it “ruined” Roger. If anything it made me like Roger more seeing him be so goofy and at the same time different to Luffy. The gags were hilarious imo.
This chapter also gave us many great interactions + characterisation of characters...
No, I don’t think so. Both are special and vital to the crew as Wings of Luffy.
However, Zoro has the Captain + VC duo dynamic with Luffy that separates him from the Sanji and the rest of the crew that makes him special in his own kind of way. The one that was first to join, the only other one...
Just based off the Roger vs Garp clash and how inferior it is compared to the Roger vs WB one in the Oden flashback, it’s very clear that these guys aren’t in their primes yet and still clearly getting stronger.
Rocks is older, more experienced and seems to be a lot stronger. I think God Valley...
The more I see of Roger pirates and the old gen days, the more I NEED a prequel entirely based on those days man.
Like just seeing the Roger pirates messing around with the Kuja pirates gives off such old One Piece vibes lol.
Please Oda, give us the Roger pirates early days prequel once One...
Lowkey, what even is the point of this argument here?
Aren’t greatest and strongest practically synonymous in this context anyways?
Mihawk got his title after beating a bunch of different swordsmen all over the world, so in the end whether it’s greatest or strongest it just comes down to him...
A one piece prequel series that follows the marine perspective, where we get to see a young marine work his way up the ranks. And I’d like to see it set in a time well before the current era’s, like a 100+ years ago
Marines are interesting and my favourite faction (outside of the strawhats) so...
The only ones that I’d be fine with at this point are Vivi, Bonney and Loki tbh.
I think Loki won’t join and his character arc will probably end with him being accepted by Elbaf and continuing his fathers work. Bonney probably won’t join as well but I expect the strawhats to pick Vivi up from...
