The point is very obvious but if I have to spell everything out for you then I will. They can coexist with competent writing. But they do not coexist in Meruems case specifically. I didn't know I had to write these criticisms essay style in order to stop getting stupid responses but here we are...
They can but they don't. Why are you incapable of accepting valid criticism of HxH?
No it isn't. Character development is merely the design of a character's depth (which Meruem has none of), Personality (which Meruem has none of) and motivations (for which Meruem is highly contrived) to propel...
Hisoka is a villain for Gon specifically but in-verse is not a villain. He's actually an anti-hero given his role in arcs like GI and his motives actually aligning with some of the main cast.
Meruem has no consistency. He goes from wanting to become stronger. To wanting to prove his strength...
There's at least 20 arcs above the CA arc in quality from OP. If you were to talk about some of the better arcs (i.e. everything that isnt CA) I think it would be more thought provoking to actually discern which story has better arcs on average.
It's funny how threatening you think my opinion...
Meruem is a very poorly written character. He's the worst villain in HxH. Even Genthru is better. He has no rational motivations. We are not familiarised with the character at any point - we know next to nothing about him. He has one fight and dips. He has no wider impact on the story of HxH, he...
I feel like this is a fair assessment:
-Plot - One Piece
-Main characters - HxH
-Side characters - One Piece and this isn't even close
-Villains - Both are a mixed bag really but I think there are more numerous high quality villains in One Piece
-Character designs - One Piece
-Power system -...
This is understandable. However, that doesn't mean these deaths 'suck' as per OP.
Kiku wasn't shown being hit by Kaido. Pound isn't a normal dude either, he's got some pretty immense willpower and rigour as well as impressive durability feats - I don't think a blade that isn't even big enough...
What fake outs?
Please explain - the only "fake outs" we have are:
Pell - which was because when he died 911 happened and Oda didn't want to have his content in any way similar to such a disaster and contemporary to the attack - it can also be explained away in-verse as Pell being an awakened...
Not all deaths need to be emotionally impactful - that's the sad reality of death. It is final, it can be unexpected and it is never convenient. Not everyone should get the Ace/Whitebeard treatment - that actually reduces the significance of their own deaths.
I suppose we'll be seeing you...
*Not including 'god'/equivalents such as The One Above All etc.*
Here's a list of Bobobo's abilities (not exhaustive) which stem from his martial art, Hajike, which centers around being unreasonable and weird to the point of impossibility:
So can anyone other than characters who are...
That's how franchises work these days... when the movies start performing poorly at the box office they'll pump out less
The movies since Endgame have been trash, and I expect they'll continue to be. Now they seem to be more a device for spouting boring feminist jargon than any actual storytelling
I'm sorry what? Whether they receive a powerup or not is ultimately irrelevant to your original statement. However, while digressing from this, Robin isnt even one of those guys - she didn't beat anyone in a 1v1 situation until Black Maria and even then she received a powerup. This was Robins...
Oh god, PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR THE CARDINAL SIN OF QUOTING YOU WHEN YOU'RE COMPLETELY INCORRECT. Forgive me for calling you out please, i beg you, before satan drags me to hell
I'll just tell it to you straight. Get over yourself. This is a forum for open discussion. If you don't like it don't...
It is explicitly stated in the manga by Ivankov that upon consumption (and learning) of each recipe Sanji will (and did) get stronger. Whether it's because of the food or defeating the opponents, it doesnt' matter. The primary objective of his training was both cooking and combat simultaneously...
