You don't need to reclaim a loss in a 1v1. Its not written anywhere. Everyone on the rooftop has their own beef and own goals with Kaido. Nothing indicates BB or Imu are stronger.

I don't want him to solo, I at least want Luffy/Kid/Law or Luffy/Yamato/anyone or anything except a solo to defeat Kaido. This guy is the strongest creature in the world, he's the first Emperor (antagonist) to go down, just for this arc I fucking hope Luffy doesn't randomly just punch harder...

I never cared about the Captain trio since its painfully obvious Law will get out'd of the fight very early because he's exhausted his moveset and is only left with OP moves that he can't use because the plot forbids him. Its just portrayal if anything.
