In fairness, Rocks body did visibly get restored evidently as we saw Roger and Garp take chunks out of his body with their final attacks.
Viz translations will hopefully clear things better in this case.
Eh, kind of a mid chapter.
Nami should have been the one to put out the flames. DR Dorry and Broggy ended up just being fake tension. The protagonist side is way too fucking stacked now.
Seems like Super Sommers vs Zoro and Killingham vs Sanji is confirmed. Hopefully they end up being viable threats...
Sabo and Shamrock feels too random of a matchup for me considering the latters bloodline relevance, other than them being the second in command of opposing factions.
Luffy/Dragon/Shanks/Loki are the only candidates I can imagine that would make the most sense narratively against Shamrock.
Oda didn’t want to reveal the long hair, that’s all.
I think people throw around the word retcon too casually whenever something gets revealed. Oda himself said he forgot to tell the anime to use a different voice, and in retrospect the angling of his face was definitely intentional.
My issue is that Zoro arguably was given his own personal storyline in the first two acts that felt as if it was corresponding to Luffy’s, but it ultimately had no payoff and little to do with anything with his role in the third act.
The Yasui interactions that allowed Zoro to grow endeared to...
While I don’t hold it against Oda for not remembering every single obscure detail he comes up with for such an expansive world he’s been building for decades, I feel like this is something he could have easily fact checked with a google search…
He’s a Gods Knight, I’m sure he tends to get around often enough to find out. It would parallel his father uncovering the whereabouts of the Davy at GV to the Gorosei.
I’m just hoping this isn’t an excuse for him not to revisit that interaction in the story itself. We still need to know who Shamrock was referring to.
Oda has been revealing things that had no right not to be included in the narrative itself.
