Great chapter, I knew Drake would end up fighting with the alliance, but I didn't think it would happen this soon. Really curious as to who Hawkins is referring to in his prediction. I personally think it might be a Scabbard or Law. I'm waiting for the tide to turn against the alliance. It has...
Well he isn't taking Kaido out on his own. I think Luffy, Kidd, Killer, Zoro, the Scabbards, will all play a role in taking him down. My personal prediction is that both Big Mom and Kaido will fall in this arc through outside circumstances. Grand Fleet, Marines, Redhair pirates coming in idk. I...
I think it would be awesome if Yamato joined, however I don't think she'll join the actual crew. I think she might just be added to the grand fleet. We'll have to just have to wait and see what Oda does with her.
I think it would be cool if she joined, having a powerful woman melee fighter on the crew would be a nice change of pace. She could take the role Oden did on the Roger Pirates for the Strawhats. I could already imagine some dynamics with the rest of the crew, I could already imagine her using...
Yamato for nakama would be cool, she could fill the role that Oden did on the Roger Pirates. Though she probably won't end up joining and just stay on Wano with Momo.
I agree I think they lose horrifically this act, then the alliance recoups, enter grand fleet, and some third party (Marines? Red Hair Pirates?) to turn the tide against the yonko alliance.
I can see Luffy getting a warm up fight to show off his advanced CoA I don't think it'll be Jack though maybe a flying 6 fighter who gets Blueno'd. I'm really wondering about Yamato though, if Oda bases him off of the Japanese Myth I think he's more likely to be an ally than an enemy. Don't know...
Ok, then the Strawhats could have easily stayed behind and idk helped? What was the point of him staying behind and strawhats going ahead specifically? I mean if this is just, oh I'll stay behind and help the fishman pirates; you go on ahead while a freaking Yonko is bearing down on us. Then...
That can't be it with Jinbei. I think Big Mom might have hypnotized him, or brainwashed him and he'll turn against the strawhats. If he just escaped like that like nothing then there was zero reason for Oda to make him stay behind in the first place.
great chapter, Kinemons expression is hilarious at the end lol. Everything is going a little too well for the alliance, I'm expecting another tragedy (epic defeat) once they get to fighting on Onigashima. Then Act 4 will add the Grand Fleet to the allies and possibly the Marines to turn the tide.
God damn, this was a hype chapter. Kanjuro being revealed as the traitor, entrance of the Supernovas. And that final line, damn I can't wait to see these 3 together in action.
Whoever the traitor is, I hope the reveal makes some sense because right now no matter who I put as the traitor in my mind there's a plot hole that pops up somewhere. Literally every single one, I also hope we get a good explanation for their motives as well.
That's not gonna happen, we've already reached the expected moment of great tragedy in Act 3. The alliance is in disarray, we don't know what happened to the Strawhats, Orochi destroyed all the ships and bridges. Luffy getting his ass kicked again would make zero narrative sense from this point on.
With the Scabbards and Shinobu basically eliminated after that flashback, I'm not sure who it could be anymore. I'll say it might be one of Carrot, Tama, Law, or Tenguyama. Out of all of those I'm leaning towards Carrot/Law, more towards Carrot. I also have a backwards thinking theory that it...
Yeah, I think Oda retconned Oden's story. It was also made pretty clear in Zou that Momonosuke actually saw Oden die, which didn't happen in the flashback.
