Water 7 is arguably the best written arc in all of One Piece. Sure, it had no huge fight, but there was plot progression every single chapter and hardly any panels were wasted. The amount of story that was put into those 50 chapters would take about 150 chapters with Oda's current pacing.

1) With the size of the explosion (after such a long time, too) it would've completely destroyed the entire Ryugu Palace and killed every last one there, if it actually went off bc of a thief. It made zero sense for the fishmen to put in THAT many explosives. Clear manga logic problem there. 2)...

I don't think the Tamatebakko box was a bad plot point per se, I actually like the idea Oda had there. It was just that the execution was so bad, that many people (understandably) hate it now.
