"The previous generation had too many contenders for WSS for any of them to be definitively be crowned"
Or, get this, or... none of them had the ability to stand out because they simply weren't good enough, which is why they're all black-blade-less.
They couldn't stand out in the "Great...
Xebec is a weaker version of both Mihawk and Shanks. He's done nothing both of the couldn't do. As if a swordsman from the great pirate era, is beating the WSS in the greatest pirate era.
What complete and utter nonsense.
You don't even have to include xebec in Mihawk's title to understand...
Just say you don't understand narrative
I could've wasted 0.2 seconds reading your comment, instead of 5 seconds
And no I'm not going to waste more time than that to educate you, it would more than likely be lost on you
Not worth, nor do I care to convince you, or make an articulate response...
Fair enough
Maybe we can look at this another way where, because Kaido didn't like the way xebec ended up dying, he then got the importance in his mind about not ending up like Xebec
Which is why he's so obsessed with a fulfilling death, sort of a "I can't ever end up like xebec" type...
I think part of that is also to contain Xebec's mystery and not reveal too much in Wano, Kaido simply had knowledge of things that Oda wasn't going to let him reveal that early on, because he already knew when it was going to be revealed.
This is before Xebec's char introduction and he was...
Gotta stop this nonsense
When I look at those three it kind of reminds me of WSC, WSS and WSM all lined up together.
But WB's title doesn't mean he beats every man in a 1v1. Oda has never been that blatant. We can make up reasons as to why he's the WSM, but I think it's obviously to do with...
If you look at Kaido and what he said about death completing a person
And the fact that he has respect for Xebec
It should tell us that however Xebec died, it made Kaido elevate him in status, even decades later
He's not a fraud, the community just wanked him to god level status
And this flashback has humanised him
People treated him like the God Emperor of Mankind from Warhammer 40k
When in reality he was destined to be PK, it's a matter of fate
PK is not just about individual strength, of course...
"Nail # 6 --> Mihawk calls Shanks a one armed Has Been not worthy of his time " can someone get the raw translation on this, because this is always debated on what he actually said
some people say he just called him a bastard for example
We've seen theories about how BB takes Imu's powers etc, and it's a good sounding theory
So using that as a template came up with a possible outcome
Blackbeard won't fight shanks until he knows he has a better chance of beating shanks, than Shanks beating him
If even the gorosei are afraid of...
Your recency bias is gonna catch up to you, and then you're gonna switch up like it was obvious all along
Oda hasn't given any portrayal to Xebec that shows he's > Shanks or Mihawk
The things Xebec has done, doesn't show that other characters in this era couldn't do it. It's cool for example...
When I used the example of max level, it was actually to mock that idea of rigidity.
You have some good points but there's a couple of things I'm just thinking about
Ryuumed forged a black blade over countless battles yes, but that isn't strictly tied to haki blooms. The problem is Ryuuma is...
Oda's design manuscript years back, where he drew designs of mihawk and shanks etc and added commentary to them
He said this about Yoru "The jet-black longsword that no one but Mihawk can wield" So yoru wont even accept shanks joyboy level haki that's crazy
Whatever happened, it caused Roger to team up with Garp to take out the rocks pirates. Forget just celestials, Xebec could have gone into a rage after seeing his wife die that he decided to kill everyone, marines, celestials, other pirates that aren't in his crew, doesn't matter.
In this...
"It's not about at what exact level they were at but that Mihawk wasn't at his peak when they dueled, " - okay yeah I agree with you on this.
"This is a counter argument to Shanks fans who are saying Shanks grew stronger and Mihawk staled after their duel when there is no confirmation that...
"1. This doesn't prove Mihawk already had a black blade and at his peak when they dueled. "
1. So I'm not sure if you actually read what I said, because when did I ever argue Mihawk having a black blade? You can clearly be on xebec's level for example without having one, this was never my...
I think you're wrong on that
They weren't "YC" level. That's an assumption on your part.
Since this is a Kamusari thread this add nicely to my point. Oda stated shanks was able to emulate Kamusari as a child just by looking at it, without instruction. Something not even adult Ray was capable...
