Probably just mistakes. Having a whole scene of Usopp being sure it's a hallucination, just to get slapped with the reality of the situation seems pretty convincing. Maybe there's some trickery going on, but I doubt it's all a hallucination.
I guess it'll depend. Doc Q makes illnesses, Chopper will just have to get good enough to combat those or avoid them. He doesn't exactly come off as that ridiculously strong, just a cool ability Chopper will have to counter. That's probably one of the more believable match-ups since aside from...
Fair. They have instances of competing but that's in specific moments like hunting or beating fodder or most importantly laying their lives down for Luffy in Thriller Bark. It's more so their interpersonal dynamic of having issues but also mutual respect. If you don't feel rival is a fitting...
I can't see it against Shiryu, not enough build up or hype for him or that confrontation. I can believe Nusjuro and if not then definitely Mihawk. Zoro will get stronger regardless, no need for Oda to rush to sky-splitting, it should fit. Luffy was approaching Kaido to fight on equal footing and...
I think it'll be set up or built up to happen and so long as Teach doesn't make moves before the Straw Hats reach Elbalf it should occur. It's time Luffy takes what Shanks taught him to heart, you protect your friends no matter what. Bartolomeo chose to disrespect Shanks' flag, but he's still...
I mean the rivalry obviously exists in terms of beliefs and clash of personality and such. Their strength is more so a means of allowing Oda to express their conflicting ideas on matters since it's not a case where one's incomparable to the other. Little Garden exemplified this.
I don't think...
Bartolomeo started it, but he's Luffy's friend and supposedly the idea that Roger, Shanks and Luffy live by is if you harm their friends you're for trouble. Luffy should stand by that, Bartolomeo screwed up, but Shanks wrecked him, the same way the Red Haired Pirates can't afford to let rookies...
Yeah, Shiryu isn't really shaping up to be better than Aokiji, but as long as his armament and fruit are great, he can make for a decent Zoro fight. No clue on what an awakening would be, but so long as it's busted, it could be a fight.
I mean Pizarro controls the whole island, a lot of expectations are on him to ensure those trapped stay trapped and escapes don't happen. Sure, Teach didn't see everything, but it makes sense he keep him in line and complaint his inability to stop the situation from escalating.
I like it for...
Bounties. Will go along with the Blackbeard Pirates also consistently improving and making moves. Both groups increasing in notoriety and strength arc to arc. Bounties now then again post Elbalf. This is the final saga, most of the arcs will be that important that the crew is recognised.
Mars would be more appropriate for Sanji. Sanji was already involved in a clash against him too. Garling and Sanji have little reason to fight. I agree Dragon would be a great choice to face him, both get massive hype and show off against one another.
Kizaru followed his duty and killed Vegapunk, and feels frustration over his situation. This doesn't mean he'll bail from the Navy or that he won't continue his job, he could easily make personal break through regarding his position as a cog in the machine in a battle, especially against someone...
I think they'll get raises. Bounties are based on increased notoriety and this is the final saga, if the Straw Hats gain infamy, they'll get new bounties even if they got ones not too long ago.
Luffy should be at 4 billion after being blamed for the Egghead incident where Vegapunk died, not to...
Robin deserves it since Saul will be there.
I'm always up for Sanji focus. Maybe some expansion on the Power of Love, the eyebrow swapping and such.
Brook getting more attention would be nice.
Those are the only ones that come to mind aside from Luffy, Zoro and Usopp who will likely get...
Yeah, Joyboy's haki is absolutely amazing. I hope we get a fleshed out backstory for his failure against Im and the kings, cause his strength is pretty solidified, but I hope he's at least an interesting character.
I'd like to see Luffy have at least clashes against all those characters. We saw Luffy have his fights against Kizaru, and he's still around to be used in the future, so not like Luffy facing them means they can't amount to more.
Aokiji is the one that leaves me wondering if Oda will go that...
Drake being the next Sengoku in some ways would actually be pretty fitting. The only issue is whether Oda will offer that much focus to him to lead to it seeming satisfying.
Sengoku took Drake under his wing like he did Corazon, and he's in a leading position in Sword, so it would be fitting...
If Fujitora distances himself from the World Government's agenda, but is independent from Luffy's allies, I'd love to see Zoro vs Fujitora. Their clash in Dressrosa was pretty cool, and seeing Zoro overcome gravity would be great. Plus Fujitora's got a Supreme Grade Blade.
I've been for Zoro...
Elbalf next for sure. No need for a detour or a separate destination. They're with the giants and Elbalf has been set up for so long, regardless of whether it live up to expectations, it's time for the Straw Hats to see Elbalf.
