You should watch the film again. The sheath is black and the sword itself is wooden colored. The sword he steals is what you see in the poster.

Tbf, Oda rarely does have Sanji moving in the spotlight. Those happen with Luffy and to a lesser extent Zoro most of the time. Sanji gets them sometimes but his role is usually more incognito
