This speaks to a larger problem with Oda’s writing post skip. Everything is just so messy and unrefined. I think even besides everything else like pacing, retcons, and what not; that’s the most disappointing aspect of current One Piece for me.
I’ll be honest, Gunko impressed me. I did not expect any of them to be able to take out all the Strawhats outside of the Monster trio like she did.
I expected that only their leader would be a top tier, then the rest would fill out the typical lower roles like lower Yonko Commanders. So far...
7/10. I actually like Nami & Usopp more this season , and even better than what we currently have in the manga. It’s adapting some of my favourite parts of the manga, so even though I don’t like Luffy’s actor that much the events still resonate with me.
Whiskey Peak Saloon is a certified...
Kuzan is only getting defeated or killed when he turns against Blackbeard. He’s obviously not going down fighting for BB against the Strawhats. As he told Smoker “I’m still me.”
lol at saying Koby though
Because Imu is possessed by the Devil. Oda didn’t even try to be subtle…although he later changed Imu saying “the power of evil” to “the power of god.”

The only point would be if it added some sort of hax, but then...
What is there to discuss in the first place? Besides the same old tired topics that have been run into the ground?
With the glacial pace of the manga itself, there’s hardly any material to carry weekly discussions too. Mockery and glazing is all that’s left to do, and that gets boring quickly...
I said this from the start. Since Sabo is now the top target of the Holy Knights, he will be facing their captain. It’s older brother vs older brother.
The Revs and Holy Knights are the 2 factions diametrically opposed to one another.
No. Post time skip flashbacks tend to be dragged out. Even the ones that typically get praised like the Kuma one has all the Bekori nonsense.
Besides that, they tend to be inconsistent and negatively impact the characterization of characters like Whitebeard. There’s repetitive elements as well...
It’s the Nika reveal. I don’t see “jump the shark” as just poor writing. It’s a ridiculous event for the sake of trying to keep things fresh.
That’s the moment Oda decided to ignore all that was already established in the series and introduce a “god-related” power up so that he could give...
