While the supernova overall aren't really rivals, Luffy still has Blackbeard. Zoro literally has nobody. Swordsmen and snipers + vice admirals are incredibly underutilized.

Zoros journey to become the wss was never going to be difficult. Only 5 or 6 guys hold the title of great swordsman & half of them are dead. His dream doesn't really come with any challengers. Plus he trained with mihawk, that kills any hype for me if you train with the guy you want to beat.

Oda doing it that way only hurts King more, also considering how it's Jack & Ulti that have been the most proactive beast pirate. Not showing King do anything is just as bad as Oda not using Smoothie in WCI because nobody on the alliance side could even hope to fight her.

I think its safe to say Robin's fights will always be underwhelming because she either folds you with no difficulty or she gets overwhelmed easily & will be in need of assistance/saving.

She'll basically be a strong low tier ( character wise ) strawhat. Kind of crazy how we get jinbe who's one of the best character wise and then we get yamato which is the opposite.
